Jal Mahal Popularly known place in Jaipur, means "Water Palace", is a beautiful place situated in mid of the Man Sagar lake. The "Jal Mahal" was refurbished and inflamed in 18th century by very famous King of Century " Maharaja Jai Singh II ". Jal Mahal gets an amazing eye-popping renovation. Beautiful wooden boats are crafted by boat-makers from Vrindavan with traditional Rajputana touch, Represents the Royalty of Rajasthan.
In the past, this location of Man Sagar Lake had a natural depression, where water used to accumulate. In duration of 1596 AD, when there was a terrible shortage of water in this region, which motivates the King of Amer to build a dam to store water to overcome this famine . A dam was built, initially using earth and quartzite, Covering eastern valley between Amer hills and Amagarh hills. The dam was later rehabilitated into a stone masonry structure in the 17th century. The dam was about 300 metres (980 ft) long and 28.5–34.5 metres (94–113 ft) in width. There were 3 sluiceway for water release for irrigation of agricultural land in the downstream area. After that the dam, the lake and the palace in its midst have undergone several rounds of restoration under various Maharaja's of Rajasthan, but the final re-establishment in the 18th century is credited to Jai Singh II of Amer. In Same duration, a number of other historical and Royal places, such as the Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Khilangarh Fort, and Kanak Vrindavan Valley were also built in the surrounding area. All of these places are now linked by a tourist corridor of roadwork's.
